Marcin Patrzalek (born October 6, 2000), known as Marcin, is a Polish guitarist, composer, producer, and arranger. He’s a global leading young guitarist.
His music videos and performances amassed many hundreds of millions of views, and were discussed by publications such as: Rolling Stone, Classic FM, Guitar World, Metal Hammer, Billboard etc.
His online audience is the biggest among young guitarists in the world, and among the top in the instrumental world at large. He won two major talent shows in Europe, and reached the semifinal in America’s Got Talent, but continued to grow his audience exponentially in the years since.
Marcin has sold out headline tours on multiple continents, and played venues such as the Royal AlbertHall. He is known primarily for combining percussive guitar playing with modern production. Marcin is a global flagship artist of Ibanez Guitars. He has collaborated with leading stars of the guitar world, as well as people like Jordan Rudess of Dream Theater, and the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra.
He provided guitar arrangements and writing for global phenomenon One Piece Live Action Netflix show, and worked on an ad campaign with Google.
History:
Marcin picked up the guitar at age 10. Quickly he achieved success in local and international classical competitions. He was initially taught by an independent classical guitar teacher, but soon gravitated also to flamenco music, being patroned by Spanish professor and virtuoso Carlos Pinana. He picked up the acoustic guitar at age 14, and experimented with percussive playing as a self taught musician.
Marcin first gained popularity in 2015 after winning Poland’s then largest TV talent show Must Be The Music. After local success he went on to release his independent debut EP HUSH at age 16. The main single from the EP was an arrangement of Asturias, and it became extremely popular globally among guitarists, initially amassing 10 million views on Youtube and Facebook. This was his first viral video, he was 14 at the time of Asturias’ recording.
In subsequent years Marcin’s popularity grew rapidly in global mainstream laymen audiences due to multiple viral releases online. His videos were first posted by notable publishers such as Classic FM and Metal Hammer, as well as independently on his channels. His performances have amassed over 200 million views online, the main contributors to this number being his solo acoustic guitar arrangements of legendary tracks from various genres, like Moonlight Sonata, Kashmir, Beethoven’s 5th Symphony, Shape of You, Still D.R.E., Toxicity. Since then he focuses more on original compositions. The lead single Classical Dragon from his upcoming debut album featured Tim Henson of Polyphia, and has amassed 1M+ streams in a month, and 2.5M views in the same time.
Since 2018 Marcin has been the endorser and signature artist of Ibanez guitars. He is the face of Ibanez’s acoustic line. His signature guitar was released worldwide in 2022 - it was the first globally produced guitar of its kind (percussive style).
The 2018 victory in Italy’s biggest talent show, and 2019 America’s Got Talent run cemented him as an artist for mainstream audiences. Marcin came back to the stage after the pandemic with seven performances at the Royal Albert Hall alongside the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra as a part of the Classical Spectacular show, in March 2022. He spent time studying at Berklee College of Music, and writes arrangements for orchestras and other instruments - which was utilized on concerts in RAH, and in Genova.
In early 2020 Marcin signed a global contract with Sony Masterworks, a division of Sony Music, being likely the first solo percussive guitarist to sign a deal with a major label. His Moonlight Sonata has been used in an ad campaign by luxury clothing brand Gucci. This arrangement has been named no. 1 on Classic FM’s list of best interpretations of the piece.

The Man, Tim Henson of Polyphia, guitar phenom Ichika Nito, and indie pop singer Delaney Bailey.
